April 19th, 2014 - Jake traveled to Hickory, North Carolina over the weekend to compete at the legendary Hickory Motor Speedway with the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model Touring Series.

Griffin made his debut in the #54 Five 4 Motorsports entry in the event that was tabbed as the Easter Bunny 150, and via qualifying he earned the 13th starting spot for the finale. Early in the race Jake was running just outside the top ten, when a pair of cars spun in front of him. He was collected in the melee, and headed to pit road with the toe knocked out of his hot rod. The Five 4 Motorsports teamed thrashed on the car to get Jake back on the track. He would be able to rejoin the field, but found himself a lap down.

He battled throughout the remainder of the event to get his lap back and would finally reach his goal on lap 117 by becoming the recipient of the lucky dog award. Despite still battling the damage from early in the event Griffin recovered to a strong 13th place finish.

"We had a really fast car, but just caught up in someone else's mess," said Griffin. "I can't thank Daneil Hemric, and everyone at Five 4 Motorsports enough for this great opportunity. I look forward to working with them again!"
